Storm Predictors, Can We?

Tornado is one of the natural disaster that brings catastrophic losses towards the area that being hit. Country like America frequently hit by this disaster. when being hit, lots of live and things being damaged as due to the event.houses will be wipe out, the breed and almost everything will be flew away by the tornado. this will definitely brings a big losses to the sufferer. For example, the Joplin Missouri tornado that happen on 22nd May 2011 has cost about 2.8 billion losses which makes it becomes the costliest tornado ever happen in the America. With such losses, it create the question whether can we predict the storm in the future? Therefore, an engineering students from Oklahoma States University has come out with an idea to build an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle that able to penetrate the storm and gather the data needed to make a prediction for future storm occurrence.

As previously being practised, the storm chaser will need to follow the storm and make the storm bring their devices together to make an analysis. with the existent of UAV's storm chaser, these people don't have to do the analysis in that way again. What are they really need to do is just directed the vehicle to the storm by using the remote control. thus, it is much safer as compare to the old method. After 10 hours, the vehicle will landed and the data that has been gathered can be analysed. The vehicle collect important information about weather systems that can be used for both immediate forecasts of the storm’s path and strength and for predictive models.  The data can also be used in numerical simulations to aid meteorologists in their understanding of tornado genesis. But the big question is, how accurate this vehicles can predicts the mother nature?
